    • Most exams take 20 to 45 minutes

    • A warm gel is applied to the skin to help sound waves pass through the body

    • A small handheld device (transducer) is gently moved across the skin

    • You may need to fast or arrive with a full bladder—your provider will give instructions

    • The scan is painless and does not use any radiation

  • Ultrasound is a versatile tool that helps providers:

    • Monitor pregnancy and fetal development

    • Evaluate abdominal pain (gallbladder, liver, kidneys, pancreas)

    • Examine pelvic organs (uterus, ovaries, prostate)

    • Assess vascular health (blood clots, aneurysms, carotid arteries)

    • Diagnose thyroid or soft tissue abnormalities

    • Guide biopsies or drainages

Because ultrasound captures real-time movement, it’s also ideal for evaluating how blood flows through vessels or how organs are functioning in motion.

    • Obstetric and Gynecologic Ultrasound
For pregnancy care, fertility evaluations, and pelvic health

    • Vascular Ultrasound
To assess blood flow in veins and arteries

    • Abdominal Ultrasound
For liver, gallbladder, kidney, and pancreas evaluation

    • Thyroid and Neck Ultrasound
To detect nodules, cysts, or inflammation

    • Ultrasound-Guided Procedures
      Including biopsies and fluid aspirations
